The  Airports of Thailand says it’s company aims improve bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport to rank among the world's 50 best airports within the next two years, 

Upgrades and expansion will also take place at 5 other airports including don Muang and Chaingmai to cope with the resurgence of air travel.

Immigration officials yesterday announced they had busted an illegal immigrant smuggling ring known as the “Asraf Gang,” named after it’s leader from Bangladesh.  Mr. Asraf aged  46, and another man were arrested in Pattani following a year long investigation,  the men had set up an import company as a front to smuggle people from Cambodia through Thailand on route to find work in Malaysia.
