Socks are an option, though there are some fashion faux pas, such as socks with sandals, socks with shorts.

 

Note the photo...both are sockless. Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski, a 6'6" all-time great NFL tight end, models for a maker who eschews socks, making shoes that are quite comfy and breathable. The other is Jim Simons, a famous mathematician and codebreaker, turned successful hedge fund manager worth some $31,000,000,000, who never wears socks.

Not true. The Brothers Gibb were born on The Isle of Mann, so technically they're Manx not British.

Their initial success as The Bee Gees was in Australia (Spicks and Specks in 1966), when they use to live as a family in Moreton Bay. They moved to the UK in 67 and 10 years later when mega when Saturday Night Fever was released in 67.
