BANGKOK (NNT) - Reports have noted that more shops in the area have started displaying Chinese attire for men, women, and children along the streets.

Vendors in Yaowarat say that they sell Chinese outfits throughout the year, as they are popular among Thais, Thai-Chinese, and foreigners, especially in the period leading up to the Chinese New Year.

As a result, they focus on offering a wide variety of styles and prices. However, they are still unable to estimate their profits and will have to wait until after the festival concludes. Nevertheless, they maintain that overall prices have remained the same.

In addition, ‘joss paper’ remains a popular item this year, with starting prices ranging from 30 to 60 baht per item. This year, shops are offering joss paper in the form of trendy products such as watches, mobile phones, glasses, designer clothes, wallets, and shoes.

Shop owners have projected that this year's sales are likely to be similar to the previous year.
