snoop1130 Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 If you are thinking about going somewhere during the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Chinese Buddhist temple, Wat Boromracha Kanchanapisek Anusorn (or Wat Leng Noei Yi 2) in Nonthaburi province, is highly recommended. Built on June 9, 1996, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of King Bhumibol’s Accession to the Throne, the architecture of the Viharas in the temple is in the Southern Chinese style and influenced immensely by Mahayana or Chinese Buddhist philosophy. The temple is famous for Buddhists who want to ‘แก้ชง’ (kae chong), which means making merit in order to remove one’s bad fortune.
