webfact Posted February 2 Share Posted February 2 Pattaya — A Thai woman in Pattaya claimed that she was robbed by her housemaid of 15-baht-weight gold jewelry and a motorbike. Ms. Rung, a 40-year-old woman who prefers to be addressed by her nickname, reported to The Pattaya News on February 1st that she fell victim to a robbery at her residence in Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi, on January 31st. Ms. Rung alleged that her housemaid, identified only as Phon, 28, was responsible for the theft. The suspect had allegedly stolen over 600,000 baht worth of various gold jewelry and a motorbike from Ms. Rung’s home in the Nongprue neighborhood. Ms. Rung reported the incident to the Nongprue Police Station and also decided to share information with The Pattaya News in hopes of raising awareness and finding the suspect. She mentioned that Pohn had been employed at her residence for 4-5 months before the incident.
