Not at all, as my daughter learned quite a bit online. Got her first laptop at 10 or 11 yrs old. She also did quite a bit of extra learning courses online, outside of school requirement. Educational, learning sites aren't the issue. Time on, and what other sites are. History check solves that. I disagreed with the time spent learning Buddhism & Catholicism at school. So she supplimented additional courses to the school's curriculum. As good as the school was, subjective, they did lack some teaching skills. I actually taught her and a few friends math, as teacher was teaching out of workbook, without practical application of problem solving or getting the kids to actually understand. They were having problems 'seeing' the numbers. I taught my daughter, and she was teaching her friends, and then decided I could explain math better, so had a few classes at out house. She and friends actually got in trouble in school, for correcting the math teacher. I had to point out to the teacher, to accept they were right, and instead of chastising them for correcitng, try complimenting them for noticing her mistake. Obviously that didn't go over very well. My daughter got a thrill out of calculating the restaurant bill in her head, before asking for the check bin. Math can actually be fun for kids; card games, playing Monopoly, along with computer math games. Finding playing cards could be a challenge, days past 🙄
