Clipped Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 how does the power and fuel consumption compare to other trucks you have owned in thailand? please state the engine ,transmission, 2 vs 4 wheel drive configuration too please....getting closer to buying and need someone to kick me in a certain direction. thanx
Sanpatong Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Ok one of these days I'm about to go test drive one, then I'll report on how it compares to other trucks. The one thing that's difficult to test on a mere test drive is how it would perform going up steep hills in 4WD.. The closest thing to a hill from the Nissan shop for me is a department store with some ramps.. Perhaps I'll test to see how it goes up it in 3rd gear, starting at very slow speed; that should give at least some indication.
Clipped Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 Great let me know the verdict...also, ive read somewhere that the newer version 'may' be availble, but not sure if this is true... the newer version is suppose to have power drivers seat, a chrome trim to the tailgate where the handle is, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals... i saw one driving down the road like this, but when asking two dealers, one said this was the newer model and the other didnt have a clue and said they were add-ons. ???

phutoie2 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Pickups lead a hard life, its always a good idea to have a walk around and check things are still bolted on!!. Clipped - if it was me I would get the 4x4 two door LE in black, looks good. If you have not got a tribe of kids to look after, no point in a four door, also pay more annual road tax on number of seats etc. I am pleased with my 4x2 2 door LE in silver, Nissan have put 16 inch wheels with narrow width tyres on the 2 wheel drive model ?, the 4x4 has monster 265/70's on and my old Frontier had 225/70's on 15 inch wheel. I personally prefer a lot more rubber on the tarmac. I noticed at my dealers that there has been a 10,000 baht increase across the model range since I purchased mine. I am a bit of a Nissan man these last few years, but have you considered the new Ford Ranger and the Triton is getting good reviews- pretty quick by all accounts.

They're after market bling items from the 'stylish accessory kit' page of the Navara information booklet. Incidentally, there weren't many aftermarket add ons available for the old Frontier but there are loads of firms making stuff for the Navara. A move for Nissan from working truck to image statement perhaps?
Clipped Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 hi guys, are your trucks automatics or stick shift? the three colors ive been considering are black, dark grey or a artic silver/gold color...this one is really nice and havent seen any on the road with this color.
tahaan Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Clipped There's 8 colour's available. The twilight grey is only available on 4x4's Warm silver & Bordeaux red are 4x2 only. That leaves silver, black, two shades of gold and electric blue for all. Mine's a manual (stick) shift and I've got a really neat led compass in the corner of the rear view mirror! Put your hand in your pocket - You know you want one!
Clipped Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 yes ive been fiending for one for quite some time now...why o' why are the colors i want only available in 4x4 (except black) photoie2 ive considered the mitsu, but i would get a lifted 4 door version if i went that route, as for the ford i dont like the body styling.
