mcd Posted July 24, 2007 Share Posted July 24, 2007 At 10 pm on 21st July the Pattaya Highway Police set up a checkpoint on Sukhumvit Road mainly to inspect teenagers that go around disturbing the public on their loud jazzed up motorbikes and also people not wearing their helmets when on the road. Most of the teenagers were found to be students from different schools, out around Pattaya at extremely late hours causing disturbance. Breathalyzer tests were also made at the checkpoint to prevent any accidents. All together 200 motorbike riders out of many that were stopped were found to be violating these rules. Therefore the police seized their motorbikes, made a record and charged them. The police had to contact some of the youngsters’ parents that were arrested to be warned and charged.
