Neeranam
Does anyone know a good GI doctor in Hua Hin area? Hua Hin hospital premium service said I'd have to wait 3 months to see a doctor! Feels like my Schatzki ring has come back.

Also, how long would it take to get an appointment? Basically, I can't eat anything non-liquid at the moment. I'd hoped to use my SS at the local hospital here.. It's so hard to get an appointment with a GI doctor. Would you not even recommend any of the private hospitals here, or the foreign one - Be Well Clinic? Going to Bangkok is very inconvenient at the moment,

Going to Bangkok is very inconvenient at the moment, Normally not, but there will be a GI specialist joining Be Well on 25 March who looks OK https://bewell.co.th/supporting-specialists/ Hua Hin Hospital is not a very high level hospital, lucky if they even have a GI specialist and would likely be not daily. JimHuaHin
I went to Mahachai (Private Hospital) Hospital, Mahachai, several times to see an American-trained GI doctor there. Excellent service. And not expensive. There appear to be no GI specialists in Prachachuap or Petchaburi. I had to go back there a few weeks ago to see another specialist. Left Hua Hin at 5.30 am, and arrived at the hospital a 7.45 am., after two toilet stops.

Thanks for that. I assume Bewell can't do an endoscopy, and balloon procedure, which I'm sure I need. So, they'd refer me to Bangkok Hospital. I'll see a doctor next week and maybe if he refers me to another hospital, I can use my Social Security.

I found one who seemed to know her stuff. She is not always there but she explaied the procedure well to me. The slight danger of oesophageal rupture when using a balloon dilation etc. I persuaded her to give me something to sleep. Had to stay 2 nights there. The problem was that the scope couldn't get down on the first try as my tube was too narrow. There was a tear but she said this is not necessarily bad. I didn't know she had moved to Hua Hin.
