Missed pages passport

Immigration officer missed some pages when stamping. Can you request that the missed pages be used for future stamps?

You'll find that they will use those pages in the future.

I'm an Australian, we were issued 64 page passports (sadly, not any more). I work offshore, I'd fill my passports up in a few years, the IO would always flick through the pages to find a spot for his stamp.

The concurrent passports I had issued were smaller with 3 years validity.

What's your concern, are you filling up your passport quickly?

Apply for a concurrent passport.

happens all the time, personally hate it when they stamp a small stamp in the middle of a page but.....

I have had my passport stamped when entering the US twice in the past 25-30 years.

Once at EWR I can remember airport this sullen Mook opened up a near new passport and haphazardly put an entry stamp in the middle of it.  Then it was  "If you want to not have your passport stamped you have to ask". So. I says to him I says, "this is my job I enter who knows how many times per year and I have never heard that"

. He then looked at me as if he could not possibly care less.

The only thing more irritating is Gate agents who attempt to use my passport as their writing surface while making useless marks on boarding passes risking the pen marking the data page of my passport with their ham-handed daubings.

I can not tolerate that. Thank god for mobile boarding passes.

I rarely go back to Oz, only when I need a visa for a country I'll be working in.

I can't remember, around 2010, think it was, I went back to Oz, needed a visa and medical to work in Saudi Arabia.

I had one of the first issued chipped passports, didn't even join the queue, scanned my passport and went straight through electronic gates.

It was a little strange being the only person using the electronic gate.

Bit off topic however may be useful to Oz folk.

Few weeks ago obtained a new AU passport

You can now do the whole process by mail.

Very simple.

From date of posting to receiving new pp in mail 20 days.

Over the years I've had to go to the Embassy in Bangkok for me and my families passports. Sadly I've always had to retake passport photos.

Did they approve passport photos when posting?

I've always had to retake mine, they would send me to the photo shop next to the old embassy.

I know exactly what you are referring to.

I renewed in 2016.

Went to passport photo guy near my place in Bangkok.

Attended Oz embassy and first thing clerk states is "these photo no good"

Gives me directions to  nearby pp photo joint. (Old embassy)

Pics exactly the same. Just a scam.

So yes using mail  this time I was a bit nervous and went to professional joint short drive away. 200b

I showed the Australian embassy guidelines and all was good.

I can recommend to other Oz folk that mail in (no appointment required) works very well.

Two weeks ago turn around time 20 days.

I often thought it was a scam, now I'm sure it was because I've spoken to many Aussies about the passport photo issues.

Such a shame, it's a huge inconvenience to retake photos.

Great news about completing the passport process through the mail. 👍
