Medical - gum disease - Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I've got some slight bleeding from upper gum. I guess it's gum disease.

Should I go to a GP or to a dentist?

Thanks.

Dentist - Periodontist

I wouldnt bother just yet, clean your teeth and wash your mouth with anti-septic twice daily for 7 days, if it persists beyond that, then go see a Peridontist.

Periodontist.  Try Dr. Nataya at Grace Dental.  A consult + periodontal cleaning will cost all of 2200 THB if my memory serves correctly.  You can save a lot of dental problems by getting semi-annual periodontal cleaning once you're over 60.  Bad gums lead to all sorts of avoidable dental problems.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've just discovered this is covered in my dental benefits with my Thailand Social Security Fund continuing membership. Their dedicated dental clinic at Rajavet hospital in Chiang Mai is excellent. Going tomorrow.
