April 10, 20242 yr Popular Post Just like to share my experience today @ Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. After reading some negative post about BPH I wanted to avoid. Bumrungrad wanted 13k, doctor on holiday. Samitivej wanted 13k and available all week. Contacted BPH and available all week with a price of 2,800 baht. 3,800 is if you use breathing apparatus. Arrived at 07:45 as requested pee sample and straight too it. BP was a bit high and had a 30 minute break for food. She come back and BP again, But you sent me for coffee FFS 💁♂️ In to see the doctor certificate issued 2hrs all done. Door mentioned new restrictions apply from 01-05-2024. They will restrict medicals if over weight and high BP. Apparently I must lose 15kg in the next 24 months. Hope this is of help to someone.

There are no weight restrictions to do a BOSIET, apparently. When I did mine in Thailand, they passed (fit) guys that could not get out of the helicopter without assistance. When I did it in the UK years ago, all the people that could not do it failed the course. OPITO courses apparently, but double standards seem to be applied. 🤷♂️
May 20, 20242 yr I think you people should get a room, or if you want to be in a public forum, explain what all these acronyms are, first.

This is in the Offshore Workers Forum... ... If you don't know what these acronyms mean, then you don't need to... That said... Google is your friend... is a 10 second search to find out...

January 18, 20251 yr You can do a virtual OGUK medical online and get a certificate. We just just had a joining crew member renew theirs online through a UK company with the participation of our on site Medic. It was accepted by both his employer and our client. I think the cost was around £150. google is your friend

Been out the industry near 10 years now. We had people back then, that I have no idea how they got through the medical and the Boiset, Huet with Ebs. Funny most were oil / gas company reps.

All pass without exception is the rule in Thailand. A little birdie told me the place in Songkhla has had some of its OPITO approvals removed recently for safety violations. No idea if that is true but just a heads-up for those thinking about going there. I did my FOET refresher last year at Falcon in Malaysia, was about half the price of Thailand.
