Hi, Is it possible to arrive and obtain a 30 day visa, then go to Malasia and return after a week or so for the remainder of our 45 day holiday ? Or do we need to obtain a 90 day visa before leaving UK. It worked ok last year, but changes now ?

As long as you can show proof of outward travel, you should be O.K.

Cheers, but we would only be getting an overland route as and when there. So it may be a problem just turning up for 45 days and getting a 30 day visa.

You may not even get onto the aircraft. Much better to have a tourist visa at the start - coming back into Thailand you would have a flight out within 30 days (I suspect) so at that point it would not be a problem.

Yes thats what we think. Thanks for the help. We want to move out there permanantly next year and it seems like its getting very awkward. But solutions always come up. Thanks again.
