'ESport Classroom' Introduced to Provide Students with Skills for the Digital Age

The Basic Education Commission Office and Garena, the digital entertainment branch of Sea Limited, are committed to promoting the 'eSport Classroom' Project. This initiative aims to equip children with essential skills and prepare them for digital age careers.

The project involves over 400 staff from schools throughout Bangkok and wider Thailand. It uses gaming and other activities outside the normal curriculum to improve Thai education, while also increasing esports awareness among the public.

Bangkok's Governor, Chadchart Sittipunt, mentioned that these additional programs present a fantastic chance for students to learn new things and better comprehend their capabilities. He added that the E-Sport Class would educate students about planning, instant problem-solving, and public communication, all through the games they play. The project also hopes to broaden young people's views of available job opportunities, particularly in the esports industry.

Part of the E-Sport Class is giving students the opportunity to participate in tasks associated with the esports industry - for instance, esports commentary, live gaming, and content production. Activities like these could assist students in pursuing careers in fields like content creation, public relations, esports commentary, graphic design, and program development within the esports arena.

Furthermore, the program will provide scholarships to the participating students. These will enable them to continue their education and training in university-level esports-related fields.

just another reason to justify gaming...

instead of teaching students internet/computerskills and how to make money with it, they let them 'learn' this by gaming... wrong approach!

Sea Limited is a Singapore company  tied into Shoppe with  Gang Ye the Director and COO, this stinks of a money making Scheme/scam to me.

A govt. body promoting a private company.

Gaming - I doubt that Thai students need any help, or instruction about that...
