snoop1130
Pattaya, Thailand - Where a high-speed car chase and shootout took place yesterday afternoon, culminating in the arrest of a suspected drug dealer. The volatile situation peaked as the suspect allegedly produced a firearm and brandished it towards the police, which led to him being shot in the leg. The Pattaya police were quick to respond to the reports of gunshots and injuries at around 2:16 pm in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Led by Police Chief, Police Colonel Nawin Thirawit, the team arrived at the scene to find their colleague, Police Lieutenant Colonel Chaimet Chaiwanruj capturing the suspect, identified as Adisak Chanthong, aka Jo Jomtien, who had sustained a gunshot injury to his right leg. Rescue workers from Sawang Boriboon were present at the scene to provide first-aid before transferring the suspect to the hospital under the police's watchful eye. Investigators discovered a wrecked Isuzu D-Max pickup truck crashed into a median strip with its front driver’s side tyres blown out completely. Inside the vehicle, they found a black backpack, which upon inspection, revealed disturbing evidence. It contained 30 grams of methamphetamine, 150 methamphetamine pills, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and a loaded 9mm pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition. According to the Na Jomtien Police, the arrest was the result of an undercover sting operation aimed at Adisak, a suspected drug dealer. As part of the operation, officers had arranged a meeting with him. However, things took a dramatic turn when Adisak attempted to flee the scene. Despite police shooting at the vehicle's tyres in an attempt to stop him, Adisak continued his desperate escape before finally losing control and crashing his vehicle. Even then, he reportedly refused to surrender, pulling out a handgun on the officers, prompting the police to shoot him in self-defence. Currently hospitalised, the suspect is yet to face official questioning and the subsequent legal proceedings. Whether this incident will slow down drug crime in Pattaya is yet to be seen, but it unarguably sends out a clear message - that the authorities are determined to combat drug trafficking and maintain law and order at all costs. Then shot him in the leg after he showed he had a gun also. 1
