billd766
I paid 32.45 a litre out here in rural Kamphaeng Phet a week ago and we usually pay 1 baht per litre more as we are about 350 km from Bangkok. I think that the extra baht is a sort of delivery charge. It was 30.45 at the start of the year. In January 2023 it was 35.45. In January 2022 it was 29.26. In January 2021 it was 25.60. KhunBENQ
Today's PTT prices confuse me. There is no significant rise in B7 which is the standard Diesel fuel. What's behind "Diesel" without further spec? Would someone pay more for B10?? Edited May 26 by KhunBENQ
KhunBENQ
The "Super Power" Diesel will hardly go to many pickups. For the Beamers and Mercs Edited May 26 by KhunBENQ
mancub
The truckers took to the streets 2 years ago demanding the Government reduce the then bt30 cap to bt25..... Even this small 50 satang increment may stir 'em up !

B7 is not the standard diesel fuel it is 7% Bio-Diesel. "Diesel" is the bog standard diesel fuel. B10 would be 10% Bio-Diesel and therefore should be cheaper than B7.

From PTT: Diesel B7 at PTT complies with Euro 5 emission standards. And I am not aware that B0 (no bio) has ever been mass produced/sold in Thailand. You think that "Diesel" is B0? For a while there was a whole bunch of Diesel variants at PTT, B7, B10 and B20 plus the "super stuff". This has been cut back. I think we are referring to what gets pumped into most trucks/cars (not agricultural) at most garages and this is as far as I have seen now B7. 2 minutes ago, KhunBENQ said: For a while there was a whole bunch of Diesel variants at PTT, B7, B10 and B20 plus the "super stuff". KhunBENQ
Even worse: endless stream of news since last year say that "Diesel" is B20 which is surely not recommended for all Diesel vehicles, B10 discontinued. And why is more expensive? Might be due to the fact that "bio" (palm oil for Diesel and ethanol for gasohol) are on short supply/became more expensive. There was a full blown "palm oil crisis" after Indonesia had forbidden exports (I remember rationing of palm oil in super markets!). Stick to B7! Honestly, why do people look at the price of fuel? What you going to do, baulk at the price and order your car to run on water? Fuel up, or walk. I had a girlfriend many years ago that would drive 10 miles out of her way to buy fuel a penny cheaper than locally, she just couldn't seem to grasp she lost more money by doing so. Last month we drove to Koh Chang for a holiday, my wife commenting on the price of 91. What's the point, you burn a hundred liters over a broadly set distance, no matter what the price, and you will always be a slave to that. It's like the cost of electricity. What are you going to do, switch to coal if cooling the bedroom gets to costly? Edited May 26 by Flummoxed

What are you going to do, switch to coal if cooling the bedroom gets to costly? I do it simply because I will then know how much my pickup costs to run every year. I have made a simple excel spreadsheet that ells me how much per km it costs to run, how many km/l average between refuels, how many km/l per month, how much it costs per service and when, how much per annum in repairs. I have been keeping a vehicle logbook since I had a company car back in the 1980s. What you do or don't do is of no interest to me, nor what I do should be of any interest to you. I put those figures up as an example in a response to the OP
