To the ones who have started a business in Thailand, could you guys tell me the requirements that you had to fulfil when starting your own business, and what your current experience is? Is it good or bad.

Yesterday I saw one of the pitfalls of running a business in Thailand. A group of 5 separate Thai business's operating out of five separate shop-houses, all closed as lease expired. Shop house owner is trying to  lease as a complete entity, obviously looking for a large operation to lease the entire five buildings (7/11 maybe). Feel sad as one of the shops  was an excellent artisan bakery where I purchased all my bakery items.

Number one rule. Make sure your lease is cast iron.

Requirements depend strongly on what sort of business you want to start.

numbers may be off for investment but i think 2 000 000bht minimum... if falang... i think you have to have something like 6 thais on your payroll
