Thailand and Malaysia look set to continue making progress in demarcating their border under the Anglo-Siamese Treaty which was signed with the U.K in1909, the border stretches for 647 kilometres,  

 

The boundary has been revised over the years due in part to landslides that changed the terrain. new demarcation points will be negotiated with malaysia to ensure border security. 

A woman has been arrested in Bangkok over an alleged killer-for-hire conspiracy which targeted  her husband, 
He had survived an attempt on his life by a gunman in Bangkok, but died a few days later. The 48 year olds death certificate stated he died of natural  causes however,   his sister was suspicious and contacted the police.

His 37 year old wife has been charged with hiring a hitman and conspiracy to murder. 

Two other men connected with the case were also apprehended.

 

Thailand has aims to return some 1 million children missing from school in an effort to eliminate poverty. The "Thailand Zero Dropout" project aims to reduce the number of out-of-school children to around 200,000 within the next five years. The ministry for Education says… out of  11 million school-aged children in Thailand, more than  1 million million were not enrolled in school last year.

Officials are due to install seismic monitoring equipment on Koh Samui this week after two minor tremors were felt by residents over the last week. Seismic measuring equipment will be installed on the island today and tomorrow,

Hong Kong police have warned the public about counterfeit banknotes amid a sharp rise in fake currency during the first quarter of this year. Police seized almost 3,400 fake notes – with a face value of 2.5 million HK dollars over the four months.
