A shocking discovery occurred this morning in Bangkok's Phaya Thai District when a garbage collector found the bodies of two male infants in the back of his truck. The incident took place at the entrance of Soi Phahonyothin 13 in Samsen Nai Subdistrict.

Pol. Lt. Col. Suphat Hemchinda of the Bang Sue Police Station was alerted to the grim find and quickly arrived at the scene with a forensic team, a doctor from the Police General Hospital, and Ruamkatanyu volunteers.

Upon arrival, authorities confirmed the presence of the two infant bodies, which were approximately 7-8 months gestational age. The babies were still attached to their placentas and umbilical cords, indicating they were likely stillborn or died shortly after birth.

Initial examinations suggest the infants had been deceased for about 10 hours.

The discovery was made by Mr. Saran Somsri, a 49-year-old garbage collector. Mr. Somsri recounted that he was performing his usual duties, collecting garbage from within Soi Phahonyothin 13.

As he emptied the contents of the last three garbage baskets into the truck, he noticed the first infant's body sliding down among the rubbish. A second body, wrapped in a plastic bag, was found stuck to the garbage compactor. Disturbed, Mr. Somsri immediately informed his colleagues, who then notified the local police.

Pol. Col. Phuwanon Unphothi, leading the forensic team, stated that the initial focus would be on examining CCTV footage from surrounding areas to track the person responsible for discarding the infants.

The bodies have been sent to the Police General Hospital for further examination to determine more about the circumstances of their deaths and any identifying information.

Authorities are now intensively investigating to uncover the origins of the infants and the identity of the person who abandoned them. Legal actions will follow once the investigations provide clear leads.
