Then why did you ask? So the prices stopped going up and have leveled off? But they are renting property, yes? And as rents go up, they are less able to save, and have less money to enjoy life. Know what? Some of what you say is nonsense. I think the percent of people that own their own homes in the UK is much higher than in the 1970s, yes? And more than double what it was in the 1950s, yes? Yes, it peaked in 2007, and declined about 12% (73% to 64%) until today.
