Mysterious Green 22... ? Any Ideas?

At 3/4" high, the number certainly isn't going to be anything to do with identifying performers on a stage etc..........

Something is saying "medical exam" to me - though at 34, it's not likely to be for the armed forces etc. Up to you, but I would still be wondering how it could have got there without him knowing. Still - I gave up a while ago trying to fathom what Thai's will own up to and what they won't......... or why. As others have said - good luck. BTW, I really like your "mutual stepping stone" way of looking at things - very practical and nothing like as cynical/clinical as some might think.

Re the "mutual stepping stone" I really appreciate what you had to say there... This was the original idea of my best Farang friend in Thailand, whom I met in my first month of being here, a year ago, in Phukett... he has been here for a number of years, a real successful survivor, and he started my education about "Thai Love" and Thai ways, back then... brilliantly incisive at the time, and this stepping stone concept was a recent addition to my education...

Saying it, or thinking it through, still jolts my mind a little bit, as we can't help but be rooted in our upbringing of what we're taught relationships are supposed to be... in Farangland.

But it's a good reminder of reality, of the balance of nature and how things ought to be, and are, in Thailand, I believe.

And I think I'm still "learning" to be sure, since it still "jolts" me, momentarily, when I remember, realize, and do my best to embrace the mutual stepping stone concept...

I wonder if gambling card games weren't illegal here in Thailand, if there would be as much of an obsession with gambling?

Are you kidding... the casinos here in the US are always packed with asians... they do love their gambling! LoL My Thai friends all enjoy the casino, some more than others though. My BF likes to gamble, but he feels really bad the next day if he looses much money. If he gets ahead even $50, he will stop playing for the day so that he can go home a winner. hehe

Was the '22' under his left armpit or his right armpit? Is your bf left handed or right handed? Were the two two's identical, as they would have been if it was from something printed or did they look more handwritten?

I'm not sure what I'm thinking, just wondering. Seems to me if it was anything systematic it would be more likely under the left arm, as in on the right side when someone else was looking at him.

If you're right handed and your're writing a number on someone else's side its going to be on their left side if they're facing you when you do it, or their right if they're facing away.

I read this again and saw the gambling bit. Perhaps it's a lucky number? He knows gambling makes you antsy and maybe that's why he won't say. Anyways who cares now - since you're happy and he's happy and it's a nice change from the murders & mayhem on the roads. BTW if you think he sux @ gambling, don't play poker with me, my friends see the big L on my forhead.

Hi, just saw your query, so, trying to remember, I seem to recall the 22 on his left side, looking very neat, about 3/4 of an inch high, but very distinct, giving me the very strong impression at the time that it was the product of a ball point pen. My b/f is right handed... but the numbers were neatly right-side-up, as I recall, which would be difficult for him to do, I think...

I remember the worst feeling was that someone else was touching my b/f's body in order to do this, and I didn't like that mental picture much at all...

Pretty much a dead issue at this point... I don't ever think about it unless I get notified that this thread was expanded.

Life together is still good, although I am ill from overwork, fatigue and stress all brought on by working a rediculous 203 hours this week... makes for 5 straight weeks of 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, teaching Engish during this so-called "summer break" in a major mall in Bangkok. Today I signed the lease on a new condo only 3 km from work, so I can go home and sleep during non-teaching periods... the old condo is 24 km from work, making for a 1 hour commute each way, making naps impossible, and contributing to this nightmarish health condition I'm in.

My b/f is very supportive, but I do hear a LOT of "Na-Blue-ah"s (boring mak mak) from him these days... My schedule stabilizes back to normal in 2 weeks, maybe soon enough to keep me out of the hospital, and still with boyfriend, I hope!
