Illegal immigrants make up 75% of arrests in midtown Manhattan, say police: report
Thanks @Evenkeel , good thread. New york city is a sanctuary city it appears, the progressives policies isn’t working, it aint making community’s safer( 75% of arrests are illegal immigrants). I think it emboldened illegals to commit crimes.imop You got to read the conclusions of the source article to fully appreciate their radical grievances. Imop The term “sanctuary city” is often used incorrectly to describe trust acts or community policing policies that limit entanglement between local police and federal immigration authorities. These policies make communities safer and increase communication between police and their residents without imposing any restrictions on federal law enforcement activities. https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/sanctuary-cities-trust-acts-and-community-policing-explained -

Can you defend yourself?
I have always had trouble with that spelling. My instructor was the reigning Southern Pacific Open Champion. He said I had reached brown belt level. I suppose there are always people who take cheap shots. I'd say you're the kind of guy that would sneak up behind someone. A coward puncher. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Good post! Not sure if someone in his right mind would want to invest in a thai mutual fund instead of an SPX or QQQ etc. Maybe I am mistaken and the Thai Banks have great cost and tax effective ETFs, if yes please educate me. Even then the risk is there that in the case of an economic turmoil they impose capital controls etc (remember Malaysia?). -

LAST TIME REFUSED ENTRY RETRY MONDAY
So my friend an Aussie arrived at BKK in June and was not allowed entry sent back home lt appears they did not stamp is passport with anything about refusing entry he had a long history of visa exempts and then 30 day extensions at CM immigration and one land border hop but in total 6 months easily from Dec 23 his last exit was only about 3 weeks back in Oz before he tried his June re-entry. now he is in Malaysia IMO stupidly booked a flight to CM on Monday if i were in his shoes i would be going over by land or boat as he is currently in Langkawi that gives him two boat entry options or he could have gone by land. Anyway he is going by air obviously things have changed now with 60 day visa exempts but what are his chances... will there be a note in the system about refusal even though the IO who was a woman never stamped his passport she was not happy with him or his numerous visa exempts and extensions I personally think he will get refused entry although CM is seen as a soft entry option and the new VE rules are in place. if he gets refused will they ship him back to KUL as that is where he is flying from or try send him back home to OZ what do you reckon his chances are? -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Thai RD knows anyway via CRS the value of your holdings as the max account/portfolio value is transfered anually if you are a tax resident. What I meant was make sure that you do not have substantial cap gains in 2025 when it is unclear if unremitted income will be taxed even if you are holding an LTR visa. Also be carefull regarding remitted income in 2024 as it is only 99% sure that this income will not be taxed if you hold an LTR visa. Godspeed to us all on this bumpy ride! -

J.D.Vance declines to criticize Tucker Carlson over his friendly chat with Holocaust Denier
I don't think you will find much about Daryl Cooper and the Holocaust. I've never heard of him before the Carlson interview, and indeed never watched Carlson before, but after searching online it does not look like Daryl Cooper has a particular interest in the holocaust. Though he has done a lot of research on the history of Israel/Palestine. Since he is not a holocaust academic I don't think his views on the holocaust would be particularly noteworthy. Carlson did not ask deep probing questions about the Holocaust because this was not an interview about the holocaust. Rather Carlson's strategy was to ask interesting questions about a whole host of topics Daryl Cooper was actually knowlegeable about, such as Jim Jones, leaders of WWII and such. In that Carlson succeeded and it was an extremely interesting interview whiich gave Cooper ample chance to shine with his preferred topics. Thanks for the interesting article on Substack, which I read with great interest. But if the most egregious charge against Cooper is that he did an interview with Greg Johnson then you might as well claim that Louis Theroux and the BBC are holocaust deniers. You can't convict someone by association, you'd have to find something in the actual writings of Daryl Cooper that suggests he is a holocaust denier. There is nothing I have found, and I note you clearly have not either. Indeed Cooper has said that FDR should not have entered the war on the side of Britain. Cooper's argument is that it was Churchill who ensured that the local Polish German war turned into a world war, and that it was Churchill who refused to end the war in 1940, after Germany had sued for peace with Britain. This again, does not make Cooper a holocaust denier. Churchill was indeed under the thumb of banks, for the simple reason that he had over 4 million million USD in debt as he was terrible with money and always had banks finance his lifestyle, even after his massive inheritance. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/06/09/churchill-bad-at-finances.html It's a sad state of affairs when someone can't tell the truth and historical facts anymore, for fear of being bullied, and defamed as a holocaust denier. -

Can you defend yourself?
If not being physical threatenend I prefer to back off. I can defend myself, but would not chase anyone, especially in Thailand. Working as security in my younger days, I learned how quickly a situation under controll could suddenly turn on me as a security where bypassers especially the drunk ones, woud intervene. I have seen this happens so quick in Thailand, where one drunk tourist have an argument in the street, ans suddenly 4-5 others jumps in and kick the <deleted> out of the "stupid" foreigner. -

What do you do with the fine poder?
I read before that the fine powder that collects at the bottom of the grinder is very strong. Tried once to mix it into a joint but didn't feel anything (I smoke pure herb, no tobacco). So how do you use it?? -
