Halcyon Days of Chiang Mai's December. Enjoying it much?
Dear Fellow Chiang-Maiers, Today, as of 4pm, has been the day we waited months to enjoy. Today has been an almost perfect day, weatherwise, with low humidity, a cloudless sky, and the sun hanging at just the right angle. Not too hot, and not too cool; today has been the goldilocks-day of all days. Did you properly enjoy this day? Or, did you waste it? Still, one worries just how long this great weather might last, before we once-again must don our masks, following the uncertain but certain return of smoke to our land, as it inevitably must. Therefore: To the Virgins who are New to Chiang Mai Gather ye Rose-buds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying: And this same flower that smiles to day, To morrow will be dying. The glorious Lamp of Heaven, the Sun, The higher he's a getting; The sooner will his Race be run, And neerer he's to Setting. That Age is best, which is the first, When Youth and Blood are warmer; But being spent, the worse, and worst Times, still succeed the former. Still love your Country?
I just celebrated my 20th anniversary of moving to Thailand last October. Initially, I needed to get out of the states cuz I just couldn't STAND the police state it was becoming. Two reasons to select Thailand were they hosted one of the best Scuba Instructor courses in the world, and the speed limit was basically how fast can your vehicle go? I've always made at least one trip per year to visit family and friends, and I'm reminded each time why I don't live there. The air is dirty, too many pollutants are killing the insects, all the creeks I used to go hunt tadpoles in are fenced off/cemented over, etc. Perfect example of Cat Stevens' "Where Do The Children Play?" -

unlimited land border crossings
Nope it means there is not a specified limit as there was before. They didn't change the language and say now its unlimited just as air entries don't say unlimited, they just don't set a limit. -
