August 21, 20241 yr Question: is there a way on lamebook, previously facebook to block these pathetic reels and videos and basically the unwanted entertainment section? That every time you open the app, it suggests things memes videos etc as if I asked for it. If there's no way then I'll just ditch lamebook which makes me wonder what's the point of putting these things there in the users face just to try to make more money while in reality it just makes a lot of people delete their account which results in losing money. Someone is blessed with higher than average business acumen at the tech giant🙄🤣.
August 22, 20241 yr Not really. Suggested friends or reels, just ignore. But the other suggestions are annoying. Just use drop down, 'don't want to see' or whatever it is, and get rid of the 5-10 new ones on you feed, and that seems to turn them off for a month or so.
August 22, 20241 yr Popular Post Yes, Facebook is rapidly becoming a complete waste of time. Bring back Friends Reunited and Hi 5 !

Over half the posts (like maybe 70%) offered up by FB aren't from friends or family but links to people and organizations I've never heard of and have no interest in. However they will also present loads of "soft porn" of reels with scantily clad, mostly Asian women and friend suggestions of people I have no interest in. Whatever AI FB is using, it's as dumb as a box of hammers. The only reason I use it is to keep in touch with family back in the US.

Some might say, they present content on yoru own searches & viewing. Why I get a lot of drone, EV, RC, bike, holiday destination, food and photography unwanted posts. Just a thought ..
August 22, 20241 yr I enjoy the reels, if it has a capybara, rabbit, marmot or raccoon featured on it, I'm clicking and watching.

August 24, 20241 yr I stopped using Facebook a few years ago, and I have never really posted anything personal. It got worse and worse every time I went there and finally got sick of all the cr@pp it tried to feed me. The only part of Facebook I use now is messenger on my phone, which is a separate app anyway.
