He didn't. Following the law.........in Thailand????? You mean like all the generals and power brokers?? Do they follow the law? Have Uncle Too and the time keeper followed the law? Or could it possibly be that you hold Thaksin to different standards - that you expect better from Thaksin than you do from the rest? You know what, you sound like a jilted lover! I get the feeling you were once a Thaksin fan that fell out of love with him.

His "honest mistake" was so obvious - and he got away with that. His deals like giving as PM a loan to Myanmar which they use to buy a satellite from Thaksin's private company. The law changes for the mobile phone companies, the list goes on and on. And a couple of months ago he told us he will retire and take care of his grandchildren. And look now, he is front center again, just what he wants. Openly: I can do whatever I want. There will be consequences. As far as I am concerned, they should have jailed him for his "honest mistake". 1 3

If Thaksin should be jailed for his honest mistake what should be done with people who instigate coups, rips up the constitution and s**t on the will of the majority of the elctorate?

Well said For better or worse the Thai people chose Thaksin and gave him the mandate with 2 landslide victories to govern. He has more legitimacy than any other previous governments or those installed by the military after coups
