In Samut Prakan on September 17, 2024, a 64-year-old hospital maid, Ms. Arom, was attacked by a 4-meter-long python while washing dishes outside her home. After being bitten on the thigh, the snake coiled around her, trapping her for over two hours. Despite her attempts to free herself, she couldn’t escape and began screaming for help. A passerby alerted the police, and rescue workers arrived, freeing her after 30 minutes. Ms. Arom was rushed to the hospital with bite wounds but survived the terrifying ordeal, thanks to the quick response of authorities.
