Phuket's Provincial Police have announced a comprehensive emergency response initiative to help residents during floods and storms. In an official report released on 16th October, Commander Sinlert Sukhum highlighted the introduction of modern technology, including drones, to increase efficiency in rescue efforts.

The Phuket police force has equipped local stations with advanced tools and personnel to manage emergencies, enhancing public safety measures. The announcement coincides with the recent arrival of new flood-response equipment on 12th October. Key figures, including Region 8 Police Deputy Commander Wimon Pitakburapa, supported this initiative, emphasising the strategic deployment of resources.

Efforts involve police collaborations with various agencies to ensure smooth traffic flow during disasters, aiding vulnerable groups like children, the elderly, and bedridden patients. Additionally, measures are in place to safeguard properties from theft in affected regions. Phuket's police reaffirm their commitment to professional coordination for effective disaster management, prioritising the safety of both civilians and officers.

drones for rescue operations?  will they send giant drones that can carry a person?

Maybe big enough to carry the invoice for advance payment for being rescued?
