Deciphering A Nickname

Featured Replies

i checked the online dictionary for the nickname ÁÕè (mii) and the result is :

[adj] noisy ; boisterous ; blatant ; clamorous ; vociferous ; uproarious

what i'd like to know (esp from native speakers) is...

1. does this sound more like a male skewed nickname or a female skewed one?

2. does it come with a negative connotation or a positive one?

thank you very much :o

For some reason the Thai letters in your post don't show as Thai to me, but mii can also mean Bear. I would hope it was for a male.... :o

that's odd my encoding is set to WINDOWS,DOS THAI...in any case it was "mor maa - sara ii - mai eek"

and no...the nickname belongs to a very rumbustious girl...was hoping it didn't have the wrong sexual connotation as in "being a tomboy"

ah well...

I don't think it has any negative or positive meaning at all.... the meaning you got from dictionary is rarely used and no normal people even thought about that...

For a nickname, Mii' has no meaning, just a name, likely for female... or could be a short version of full names, for example, Palmy or Amy, etc.. could call themselves Mii'
