Robski
Hi everyone and I hope all is well. I'm looking for a course to help a Thai friend improve their English, something along the lines of the Teach Yourself or Linguaphone PDQ courses with a work book and audio CD's. Yesterday I bought, in Bangkok, a course book and CD by Paragon Learning. It looked ideal, but after trying it out at home I was very dissapointed, the dialogue on the CD was much too fast and the accent was awful. A standard English accent would be great, a clear American accent also, but this has a very questionable American accent that made the pronounciation and sentence structure unintelligible, even I had trouble with it. Oh well that will be going in the bin as a bad experience then, so I would welcome any suggestions as to what would be a decent course. Kind regards. A friend is learning Spanish with Rosetta Stone courses and says they are very good, I know you can pick them up at MBK / Panthip etc. Rosetta
