Let's start this by saying, yes, things will be different where you are probably, you may be lucky enough to have different choices where and how to buy etc.

 

I like a nice steal once or twice a week. I found a nice striploin steak in Makro, sold in pk of 4 pc, Australian wagyu beef @799bt. Problem was they'd sell out pretty quick and you had to wait for next restock. because of this I started buying 3-4 pks at a time. Then I happened to notice they had the full loin in another freezer, light bulb moment and estimated how many I could get out of it and it presented good value saving. I bought the whole loin for 2200bt.

 

The pre-packed were nice but a little thin for me, so this meant I cut it as I liked it. I got 18 thicker steaks out it saving over 1500 bt  in the process.
