English Man Dies in his North Pattaya apartment.

Police Major Sanae from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Sport Mansion on Pattaya Third Road on Sunday Evening to investigate a foreign fatality inside one of the rooms.

Police and rescue workers made their way to room number B8 to inspect the body of Mr. Stephen John Smith aged 47 from England.

Officials were met by the girlfriend of the deceased; Khun Roowana aged 25 who explained that she had been with Mr. Smith for 2 years.

He would often drink excessive amounts of Alcohol and has been hospitalized over the last two years because of his drinking problem. On Sunday Evening Mr. Smith was lying on his bed when he begun to convulse.

Khun Roowana summoned assistance from neighbors but help could not arrive in time and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The British Embassy in Bangkok have been informed and are now taking the necessary steps to ensure his family in England are informed and his body is returned to England for burial.
