In a shocking act of jealousy, a vegetable seller fatally stabbed his wife, suspecting her of talking to another man. The incident occurred around noon on November 11 in Rayong Province.

Pol. Sub-Lt. Wittaya Chamroen Sat, Deputy Investigation Officer at Samnak Thong Police Station, received a report from Mr. Sakphon Anuwatthanopas, the assistant village head, about the murder at a residence in Moo 1, Samnak Thong, Muang District, Rayong. The suspect, the victim's husband, was detained at the scene.

When officers and emergency responders from Rayong Hospital and Sawang Porn Kuson Rescue Unit arrived, they found the victim, Ms. Sangwan, aged 48, lying on her back with 16 stab wounds, surrounded by blood. Rescuers attempted to revive her but were unsuccessful. Nearby, they recovered a blood-stained fruit knife, believed to be the murder weapon.

According to Mr. Sakphon, he was outside his house, near the couple's residence, when he heard them arguing. Used to their frequent quarrels, he paid no attention until he heard screams. Rushing over, he saw the husband, identified as Mr. Nares, 49, leaving the house. Inside, he found Ms. Sangwan lying in a pool of blood and immediately detained the suspect, who reportedly said, "I've put up with my wife's affair for too long."

An initial investigation revealed that both Mr. Nares and Ms. Sangwan were originally from Buriram Province and had been working as vegetable sellers. Their relationship had been troubled by frequent arguments, often fueled by Mr. Nares' jealousy. This latest dispute escalated when he saw his wife on the phone and suspected she was speaking to another man.

The suspect has been taken into custody for further questioning and will face charges according to the law.
