Do i need to make a police report or can i just present myself at the home branch with my passport to get a new one?

Last year I resurrected an old bank account with no bank book (I told them it was in England).  Only needed my passport.  New book issued.

I needed to replace a bank book at Bangkok Bank in Jomtein. I had to go to Police and have a report filed first and then take that to the bank before they would issue a new book.

So just to report back.

 

I did NOT need a police report to renew my book but it HAS to be done at your home branch,

 

Just signed a couple of forms and gave photo's copies of passport ID page and entry stamp, easier than i expected.
