Hi, I need to replace the electric gate mechanism on a heavy gate.

Remote control etc - everything needs replacing.

Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I do not have a recommendation for the mechanism, but I do recommend you service the gate and grease the bearing and whatnot prior to installing a new closer. I think most closers that are correctly sized and installed fail because they get overloaded when the bearings in the gate dry up.
