Benjamin arrives at the logical conclusion regarding taxes
I don't see this as definitive as you. I would counter that POR 161/162 are intended to clarify Ministerial Regulations and the tax code, and as such, are to be included in the category of Ministerial regulations. Do I know this for certain. No. Obviously not. Which is why, despite my being on an LTR visa, I brought no money into Thailand in tax year 2024, and until this is clarified I can easily go a few more years at my same life style without bringing more money into Thailand. But - if I had to bet - I would bet my interpretation correct. Fortunately, I do not have to make that bet. . -

Has Elon Musk become an existential threat to humanity?
Even if you assume all that, what's the alternative? A brainwashed fact checker? People will figure it out. The town square. All sort of nuts, and yet life goes on. That's reality. Have you ever lived in NYC? Ever been to the heart of Manhattan? All sorts of nuts, on every street corner. Some have microphones and amplifiers. They'll tell you about Jesus, or the end of the world, or the evils of capitalism. They spew nonsense 4/7. And yet most people pay no attention. They just walk on by. And life goes on. The crazy people are no danger to anyone. What's the real danger? People who want to shut down free speech because they think they know what's best. Those are the dangerous people. -

Thailand as a Future Destination for Relocation
That's apparently impossible ... MMGW & CC Haven't you heard. That's actually a good think, as Trump may make it through the day without getting bumped off -

The Troubling Decline of DEI: A Step Backward for America
Two repeated examples in my career where laws and their enforcement have hurt Blacks and Women. 1) You can't fire a Black employee without risking a huge discrimination lawsuit... Every employee you bring on has a risk that they won't work out, and you'll have to fire them. What's the best way to reduce your risk of being sued for wrongful termination? Don't hire employees that can sue you (and win) if they don't work out. 2) Several companies I worked for won't hire women of a certain age. Again and again, we hired women who were already pregnant (you're not allowed to ask). Six months later (do that math), they take their paid maternity leave, burden the company insurance policy to pay for the care, then don't come back when the mandated pregnancy leave runs out. It was clear from the results that they just hired on for the benefits and never had any no intention of staying. Can anyone think of a good way to prevent that abuse of the laws and the system? I can. Both of those are clearly abuse of the system. But the lawmakers (and the deep state) keep passing stupid, easy to game regulations. -

Trending:The world is waking up to the Woke Progressives
I was toying with the idea of starting a dark post-punk alternative band called "José Bidino's Rampaging Dementia". Never got round to it, though. 🤷♂️ -

Trending:The world is waking up to the Woke Progressives
Finally walking back your preposterous false claim that preCovid Trump presided over the worst ecenomy since the Great Depression😅. Still, what would a (real) hedge fund manager know about basic economic facts? Priceless!- 1
