Try Kraken.com - I have an account with them but I'm from the UK. They are American though, to verify they accepted a bank statement with my Thai address on it.

Also I opened binance.com and bitstamp accounts but this was prior to binance launching their Thai 'deal' and I haven't really used it.

I have an account that I can't access, customer service is non existent. Also tried crypto.com based in Singapore and they said I needed a Thai ID which I don't have or need. Quite ridiculous. I'm a US citizen and cannot use Binance. I see Trump just signed an order to stop harassing US businessmen overseas. I'm hoping he will get get rid of FACTA.

Hi mate. Can I ask you to elaborate a little on that Kraken account? Was the Thai addressed bank statement they accepted a UK bank and therefore GBP, or a Thai based bank and Baht? My UK bank is fully aware I am out here and therefore has my Thai address on the statements too. I have Thai crypto exchange accounts for Baht, but a UK GBP linked one would be a real bonus and backup if possible. What else did Kraken ask for along the KYC lines. cheers bud

I used the Thai bank account - Kasikorn to prove my address here in Thailand - that's it. I have a basic savings account with the address in English - the kind of thing you could pop into the bank and open up in 20 minutes anywhere in the country.

When you want to withdraw funds via SWIFT it goes by a third party service provider and you need to enter any bank they will deal with.

So I had to enter the Thai bank account details manually myself in order to make a withdrawal, you can add more than one recipient bank account  so long as 'Bank Frick' will support the recipient bank and it does not matter which country the account is in - but you are not allowed to alter the recipient name at all so you're only allowed to make payments to your own accounts - apart from that I don't think they care where the bank is.

I attempted to add an ABA Bank account but it didn't work - they don't accept ABA (Cambodia) for sending wires.

Kasikorn is good and I would think most UK banks would be accepted but you never know - the only way to find out is to test it. I have had reports of banks creating issues with money being received from any crypto exchange in the past so I have never done a single transaction to my UK bank.

Gotcha Big thanks for that. I'll give it a go with my UK bank sometime in the future. Not actually planning on selling anything atm anyway, waiting for that $1m BTC number. You know it's coming just a matter of when ha ha ha 2030 at the latest. Even then hoping BitcoinOS type applications on Cardano will allow smart contract staking of BTC, so will never need to actually sell the principle, only the rewards. Same same ADA.  Increasing passive income for life in other words. So the wires you send from Kraken to Kasikorn are in Dollar, GBP or Baht?

On a side note, I was living in fear for a while with regards my UK bank after hearing so many stories of Brits being debanked when they discover you are non-resident, The address they had for me was with relatives in the UK. I got one of those CRS forms from them late last year and I thought here we go. So filled it all in truthfully expecting my account to be closed.   As it turned out the Halifax have absolutely no problem with me being retired in Thailand, so my fears were unfounded. Their online customer support desk actually expressed surprise when I said 'you'll be closing my account now then I suppose?' No she said, 'we have many customers who are now living abroad, it isn't a problem'. So dodged that bullet.....for now.

It's in US Dollars on kraken.com - the US version of Kraken, so the wire is in USD and gets converted to whatever currency the recipient account is in - in this case Baht when I sent some funds over last year.
