Tremors in hands

Featured Replies

I want to know, does anybody know of specialist that can assist with prescribing medication for ( Essential Tremors to hands not Parkinson! ). I saw a doctor at Srinagarind Hospital but after 12/18 mths gave up as medication did not work ( At All ) & a waste of money & time! I would dearly love to resolve this situation as love my golf & this problem does not  help.

I assume since you say you went to Srinagarind that you are in Issan?

Which doctor did you see at Srinagarind, and did you return to tell him/her the meds were not working? Have both beta blockers and antiseizure meds been tried? If not (i.e. only one type of medication tried)  then I would first go back and tell the doctor it is not working,

But if already tried both classes of drug then next step would be to come to Bangkokj where a wider range of treatments including   MRgFUS  (MRI guided focused ultrasound) and implantable devices are available.

I do not know which doctors at these places do this, suggest you call Siriraj private wing (call center 1474) or email them at <[email protected]>

Note that it does not work on everyone, this is true of all the treatment modalities for essential tremor  so be prepared for some trial and error.

I get tremors in my right hand if I carry something with it. Only problem I get with it is when I carry the likes of of a cup of tea and the tea spills out. I just put it down to the aging prosses.

I have had minor essential tremors in my hands for yonks, and I recall that my mother also had them for as long as I can remember.  They don't seem to have got worst fpr me over the years, so I just ignore them, (except when I'm carrying a hot drink lol!)

I also suffer from hand tremor. I consulted two GP`s in Australia and advised I was considering using CBD oil as when there only for a few days. Both agreed it was worth trying and so I obtained oil but have only been using for 10 days so is to early to know if effective however I have noticed a very slight improvement in some hand functions.

I took this action on advise of two people who claim it to be effective in their cases.
