Is there anywhere near to go to see the milkyway.

Saw that 1999 on a small beach on koh samui, light pollution now.

Go anywhere outside of a big city and you can probably see it.

 

This is where I live. There's a really annoying street light right outside my house on the street but I can still see the some very stars beyond the trees. If I bothered to go out a few minutes I could escape the street lights and should get a good view. I bet it's this way all over rural Thailand.

I was just in Chiang Dao 2 week ago. So much open land there. Light pollution wouldn't be a problem.

As you're in Pattaya I'd expect Nang Ram beaches, past Sattahip to be dark
