I have scanned the forums and found some dated results so just wanted some clarification :

is it possible to obtain a year long multiple entry ED visa from Penang as supposed to the 3 month alternative followed by a trip to immigration? I understand purchasing this type of visa is possible usually from your home countries, but since i am already in Thailand i was hoping to find some where a little closer (I am British)

**On a slightly different note, if a 3 month visa is the only possible solution, how does one go about extending your visa at immigration? is it simply a case of waiting in line, paying a fee and then they extend it to a year (i am sure it is not this simple!) or is further documentation required (as you can see i have not done this before)
