As were the Czech Republic, Slovakia, large tracts of Poland, Hungary, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia and parts of Romania.

The Austro Hungarian Empire, which included all these countries, came spectacularly unstuck over a hundred years ago, at the end of the First World War ( which they rather foolishly started), and to the general satisfaction of most of the people's of those countries.

Are you suggesting that the Czech Republic, Slovakia, large tracts of Poland, Hungary, Bosnia, Slovenia, Croatia and parts of Romania are also "made up countries" after all most of them were identifiable countries well before they were unwillingly incorporated into the  unwieldy "made up" Austro Hungarian Empire, and long before the United States was "made up", I do apologise, formed.

Incidentally, Germany, Norway, Belgium and Italy have all been "made up" in the last couple of centuries, largely to the general satisfaction of their people's.

Now I do realise that we/they ( even my foggy Island off the coast of France) are effete Euro socialists, but, we do have certain "takeaways" from the last few hundred years, one of which is that " made up empires" rarely fare well, and should in general avoid picking fights with their smaller neighbours. A point which was ignored (or not recognised) by your mascara smeared Vice President and his dissolute piss head sidekick during their recent European lecture tour!

Euros are weak now. Saved by US and Soviets before. EU was created to build a trading block due to being such small nations. Should merge into 5 nations.

Genrikh Grigoryevich Yagoda (Russian: Ге́нрих Григо́рьевич Яго́да, romanized: Genrikh Grigor'yevich Yagoda, born Yenokh Gershevich Iyeguda; 7 November 1891 – 15 March 1938) was a Soviet secret police official who served as director of the NKVD, the Soviet Union's security and intelligence agency, from 1934 to 1936. Appointed by Joseph Stalin, Yagoda supervised arrests, show trials, and executions of the Old Bolsheviks Lev Kamenev and Grigory Zinoviev, climactic events of the Great Purge. Yagoda also supervised construction of the White Sea–Baltic Canal with Naftaly Frenkel, using penal labor from the gulag system, during which 12,000–25,000[1][2] laborers died.

Like many Soviet NKVD officers who conducted political repression, Yagoda himself ultimately became a victim of the Purge. He was demoted from the directorship of the NKVD in favor of Nikolai Yezhov in 1936 and arrested in 1937. Charged with crimes of wrecking, espionage, Trotskyism and conspiracy, Yagoda was a defendant at the Trial of the Twenty-One, the last of the major Soviet show trials of the 1930s. Following his confession at the trial, Yagoda was found guilty and shot.

You googled his name? Stalker

True - it was previously part of Laurasia. I say give it, and all former territories of Laurasia back to the Laurasians. That includes the US, although I doubt any self respecting Laurasian would want it for at least another 4 years.

You would not want the world's best economy and biggest companies? :cheesy:

Apple, Amazon, Coca Cola. Yeah no quality there.

And they will still be around in 4 years, by which time the country will hopefully have come to its senses and the current POTUS will not have wreaked too much more damage at home and abroad.

Well if I'm reincarnated, then I surely know more of the history of the area and times than you.

Ukraine was several kingdoms when Moscow was just a pigsty surrounded by 4 huts.

Original Kiev Rus was established by Swedish Vikings over a thousand years ago, as was the original powerful cities in what is now Russia (Novogorod).

Rus in the name is short for Sweden in the Finish language (Ruotsi). Current Russians are just distant descendants to the Tartar and Mongol invaders from the east.

I don't expect Americans to have any knowledge of World History, especially European.

Go educate yourself OP!!!

Kingdoms controlled by others.
