On a global scale, are there any countries left, where one can hopp-in, hopp-out on a basically eternal tourist visa situation?

 

In the "early days", very well possible in Thailand. Any countries left?

It depends what passport you have and how far you wish to stretch the definition of 'tourist visa'.
