Visa Options After Work Permit Cancellation
If you go to a Non-O based on marriage to a Thai, the work-permit will not come into the question of whether you can get the extension, provided you have 400K in the bank for 2+ months. The date on the termination-letter is your last permitted-day of stay. You would need a new letter with a later-date, if your employer is extending things for you. You will show that to immigration when you request the change of permitted-stay. Hopefully, they will allow you to apply without making a border-run. If they refuse to do the change, THEN you could apply for the 7-days extension if you need more time before a border run. But, after you get that 7-day extension, the ONLY option is the border-run. -

Thailand Bars Alcohol Sales on Trains and at Hua Lamphong
In recent post covid times, I travelled by train from Don Meaung Old Station to Chiang Mai. The only seat available was in a Third Class train with no refreshment/buffet car. However, throughout the journey, food and drinks (including beer) were available. Various vendors boarded the train selling to customers at their seats. Chilled cans of Beer Chang dispensed from cool boxes were enjoyed by me throughout my journey. No alcohol prohibition law on that particular train! -

Inferno at Thai-Myanmar Border: 200 Seized Vehicles Destroyed in Devastating Fire
How can 800 cars end up in Mae Sot? I've been there and even crossed into Burma/Myanmar with my own car in 2018. Back then there were not 800 cars crossing the old bridge over the river and the traffic in Myanmar is driving on the right hand side of the road. Just curious; there might be closer parking lots available for all those "imports" - me thinks as the registration of such vehicles was done - in the past - usually in Sisaket or Ayuthya as the officers there might have been a little more flexible after someone forgot some little brown manila envelopes? Just wondering ........
