Former Yakuza Gang Member Arrested for Call Centre Scam and Money Laundering
Yakuza, it actually means "Good For Nothing", in their language. Even after "Quitting" mobster, still working for filthy outlaws. Hope that SO* suffers much in the hellish Thai stockade, instead of the lukewarm 1st world prison... -

Alternate investments of 800k retirement funds?
Indeed. I am an abjectly lazy, useless individual. Thank you for alerting me to this. Without doubt, the best course would be for me to not contribute anything of any kind to this site. The community will be so much better for it. My apologies once again for my worthlessness. I am so sorry to have caused such distress for you. It was selfish of me. Thank you once again for your kindness in assisting me to understand the depth of my shortcomings (which are many - too numerous to make a full accounting). Have a lovely day 😀 -

Expert issues warning to air fryer users over the one item you should NEVER cook
Air Fryer Warning: Popcorn Danger Alert! Stay clear of popping your favorite cinema snack in the air fryer, warns expert Grace Forell. She cautions that most air fryers don't reach the required heat to safely pop kernels, making it a risky venture. Appearing on BBC Morning Live, Forell explained, “Most models won’t reach the temperature needed to pop popcorn. Plus, kernels can get stuck in the heating element, creating a fire hazard.” Her advice? Stick to using the microwave or stovetop for a hassle-free movie night munch. Despite these warnings, adventurous cooks are sharing air fryer popcorn recipes online, raising eyebrows among experts. One Reddit user sparked a debate, asking for air fryer popcorn tips. They questioned why covering the air fryer’s hot plate with aluminum foil wouldn't work. Redditors, however, begged to differ, mostly warning that an ill-fated attempt would result in a mess and possible device damage. One user remarked, “When a kernel flies into the fan and bangs around, you’ll regret it. Please don’t.” Another added, “Scorched popcorn will leave an awful smell.” Additionally, some urged caution against using aluminum foil for this purpose, although it's generally safe for other air fryer recipes. Others echoed these sentiments, pointing out the potential for serious damage to the air fryer. Their collective advice? Wait until you can use a microwave for perfectly popped kernels. So, for now, it's wise to save the air fryer for other culinary adventures and stick to tried-and-true methods for your popcorn fix! Based on an article from Daily Mail -

HEATHROW CLOSED
It's cold, it can be boring, Do tell. Class ridden, damp and dirty, with awful architecture and destroying London to erect excrescences like the "shard" monstrosity. It's not too bad in the countryside, if one can afford to live there. Run by incompetent oafs like Blair, Brown and the Tory shower, to suffer now under the biggest oaf of all. Can't even build it's own military aircraft or make an aircraft carrier that works. Anyone can be fooled that another place is better till they actually live there. I could have retired there, but not doing so was a very good decision. -

The German Chancellor is still Olaf Scholz. Only when the new government is formed will Friedrich Merz be elected as the presumably next chancellor.
