deliric Posted Sunday at 09:30 PM Posted Sunday at 09:30 PM Hello, Me and my thai wife will open something between 8-10 bungalows in Samui. Both in early 40`s, trust each other, have two daughters etc. We will buy the land or the existing resort to be renovated on thai company with wife owning 51%. We intend to rent the rooms for short time stays, get a hotel or guesthouse/swimming pool license or whatever license we will need. I have a few points that i would be grateful if i can get some input (i know i will get the answers from a lawyer but would be good to also know a bit before i get to one) 1. Go for a work permit, work on the company or just in wife personal name? I will be managing the bookings and most of the reception chores. 2, How should I go about transferring the money? The money for the land I will bank transfer into company account. The rest of the money for construction etc. will come from another person from EU (a friend) to either mine or my wife`s personal account in Thailand. Would there be any problem with this? I was thinking this way because the contractors I will use will probably not be able to bill the company for the entire amount and I would worry about how to get money out of the company for this. Any other input is highly appreciated.
