Donald Trump has criticised Russia and Vladimir Putin's behaviour, once again addressing the recent large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. 

''There was no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities and towns, over the last few days. It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently, through "Banking" or "Secondary Sanctions?,'" he pointed out.

"Too many people are dying!!!" Trump emphasised once again.

That's Xi and now Putin who are openly sticking up two fingers to you.

Of course the rest of the world leaders are too, but just not to your face.

Come on, you can't be serious with that comment. Trump has said many times that he has a very good relationship with XI and Putin, and they respect him a lot.

He just recently said he had spoken with XI a few times, only that he forgot the dates, and XI even forgot he has spoken to Trump.

The people in the US who have been drawn to the MAGA thing are essentially ex-Tea Party (those who are old enough to have been part of it), and are opposed to globalism, are supportive of the military (and the veterans), "America First," and so on.  DT with all his boasting about how well he gets along with the likes of these authoritarian thugs will eventually blow up and blast the paint off his face, and his base will be hiding their own faces with embarrassment of having been taken in to such a degree.  He is torn between his own vanity ("please everybody, love me!") and his love for those who are most eager to destroy the country he is president of.

Oh, and then there is taxes, the hatred of which is what defined the GOP/Tea Party (well, it was really an anti-Obama initiative created by some rich guys).  Where is Grover Norquist and his anti-tax pledge now?

If his approval sinks below 30% there may be no coming back for him.

I must admit this is a rare display of courage and morality from the circus clown, for him to criticize Putin is a rather extraordinary thing, and hundreds of millions of people around the world must be shaking their heads and saying finally, finally the man stood up and showed some dignity. 

 

Of course Putin was playing him, we knew that, Putin knew that, every Russian and the vast majority of people around the world knew that, the only one that didn't seem to know that was Trump and his sychophantic advisors.

I think trump knew all along personally and this is my opinion he (putin) and trump made a deal putin will help trump set up a kleptocracy here in the states in exchange for trump assisting him (putin) in his quest to restore the old post ww2 soviet borders.this last bit is just trump saving face no more.he still has to string along the rubes ……but then again I might be giving him two much credit perhaps he really is this stupid.it certainly isn’t making America great again!

You very well might be right, there's no question there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Why Trump has been sucking up to Putin at the level that he has been is just a mystery and an astonishing thing to witness.

 

Trump is doing absolutely anything but making America great again, he's diminishing America by the day, and making it less relevant.

I'm also an American and I sometimes think the same thing. I don't think they are idiots as much as they are just very gullible, and America seems to be a nation that just very easily buys into a narrative, and a well crafted level of fiction, which Trump is very, very good at creating. 

 

I don't think the man's particularly intelligent. I actually think he's rather dull, but he's a genius when it comes to distorting truth and creating an alternative narrative that his followers just gobble up like the most wonderful dessert they've ever tasted. 

 

I do have some friends that will come right out and say the man is a butthead, he's an idiot, and he's an absolute clown, but I like his policies. Those are the Republicans I admire. The ones who absolutely refuse to criticize his policies, or his behavior and total lack of dignity, no matter how ridiculous and far out it becomes, have absolutely no respect from me on any level. 

 

With many people, once they got attached to a theory, it was hard to get them detached. They’d screen out unhelpful facts, invent favorable ones, and ignore contradictions in their own claims. Look at those Sandy Hook, multiple fraud convictions, and Jan. 6th truthers, babbling about false flags and crisis actors and all the rest. When people were motivated enough to believe something, they were going to believe it no matter what. There was no such thing as a bridge too far.
