Off Shore Bank Accounts

Featured Replies

Am about to receive inheritance from the homeland and would appreciate any advice on where it can be deposited other than a Thai bank. What are the interest rates on off shore banks (and which ones), and charges? Any information greatly appreciated.

You can get 3-3.5% in a 90 day account with a bank in the Channel Islands. Opening the account is quite difficult as the need all sorts of id, and want to know what you grandmother had for breakfast on her last birthday etc, well almost

For better rates you need a good investment fund

you would be better off, putting your money in a fund offshore, one of the ones im in has been paying 12% others pay17% depending on the risk and how long you want to tie your money up,i got some good advice

Check out banks in Singapore, as a non resident you are not required to pay tax. Most banks charge modest fees for accounts, it's a good option when living in Thailand.

Good luck
