June 6, 20251 yr TIL that there are some small words, one being Endorsements, on the last three pages of an American passport. Immigration said they can't stamp on those pages. OK, thanks for the heads up. I got my 1.5 pages of stamps recently, and I have room for one more extension stamp. That puts me until mid-November if I want to cut it close. I do not. I'll have to get a new passport shortly. This will be my third passport in the last ten years. Many countries, gotta travel. I have no idea how many of you wait until the last page, but I have a feeling someone does. Just make sure. If I went to Laos, got my billionth full-page stamp, then I might have had to get an emergency passport and ........... ah, no harm no foul. Note to self: mid-July, send out passport. I'd sent it tomorrow but I have to travel at the end of the month and would like my passport. lol. noted

Usually got one every 2-3 years between 85 and 2016 I miss those fold out pages of the 80's....lol Now I travel less and last ones did it after 8 years
June 7, 20251 yr Author used to be able to buy new pages, that's OK. That's OK, did get pretty thick. 6-8 weeks to get a new passport . Many people are saying closer to four for a new one. gotta do it.
June 9, 20251 yr Can you not get an extended passport like the Brits. I think it's 45 pages instead of 30. Of course you have to pay more.

June 9, 20251 yr Back in 2018 I entered Thailand on a tourist visa. I then applied for a non imm o visa thinking I had enough pages to get the non imm o then towards the end of the 90 days get my retirement extension before getting a new passport. The IO pointed out that I could not use the last few pages because, as the OP pointed out, they were for endorsements not visa stamps. I managed to get my non o then immediately got a new passport before applying for my first retirement extension.

June 9, 20251 yr Popular Post My US passport issued in 2019 had the last three pages reserved for Endorsements but my latest passport issued in 2024 allows visa stamps on every page until the end of the book. Looks like someone figured out that endorsements didn’t need a special page and the vast majority of travelers don’t ever get endorsements so now they don’t have to waste three out of the 48 pages.
