Are the 2 new flag poles at the White House some form of (compensation) for a perceived lack of something?……

Poor Donald apparently threw a hissy fit when the military parade looked more like a Career Day event than the macho event he obviously wanted. Poor "OPSEC" reportedly got a reaming for the ages.😄

This could very well be behind his apparent hard-on for a fight (fish-in-a-barrel style) with Iran. The fate of the world depends on the incredible frail ego of a petulant child trapped in a man's body.

"Having an insecure president during a time of crisis is a problem, largely because he’s going to say things like this when asked about possibly bombing Iran: “I may do it, I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do.”

That was President Donald Trump’s wildly problematic comment on June 18."

I see you are pro Iran get a nuke.

This is the hard hitting political commentary the left brings to the table.

Trump's strategy is to  force Iran to negotiate in good faith. By  keeping Iran guessing, he is pressuring iran to  negotiate, all without the USA putting itself at risk. Iran was screwing around at the Oman talks and was  not  negotiating in good faith. Everytime the USA  cam up with a  soution or response to an Iranian objection, Iran would come up with something else.

There ewas a perfectly good agreeemtn in place that Trump MkI threw out because it have been negotiated under Obama';s presidency.  Had that still been in place there would be NONE of these very dangerous events taking palce.

Would this be a solution that trump MkII would tear up as and when the fancy took him as he did with the JCPoA?

Trump did not "tear up" the  Iran nuclear plan. Rather, the USA, looked at the evidence, some of which was provided by Israel  and that was supported by  Saudi Arabia and the UAE and made the decision to withdraw and to seek a new plan that was more specific and more effective. If Israel and  opposing Arab nations can agree on a common threat, then that should be a big hint that there is something  to be considered.

The initial European authored plan that the USA had agreed to, was written with the intent of providing cover for  multiple parties to   benefit from the lifting of economic sanctions on Iran. The Indians, Chinese, Japanese and Europeans wanted access to the cheap  iran oil and gas and they wanted to be able to sell hard goods to Iran again. The Europeans are good at  waving their holier than thou  fingers at the USA, but they were key  party to the resilience of the totalitarian regime in Iran.

Iran was   evading the international  inspectors in much the same way it was able to continue exporting its oil and gas  despite  internal sanctions. It used   shadow fleets facilitated by China and Singapore brokers to move its oil and gas. It used shadow storage and enrichment sites to process and store its uranium.
