Pattaya Jewellery Heist: Indian Tourist Reports Necklace Theft

In the early hours of August 5th, a 27-year-old Indian national, Mr. Hemanth Kumer, found himself at the centre of a murky jewellery theft investigation in Pattaya. The owner of a jewellery shop, Mr. Kumer reported to the Pattaya City Police that his gold necklace, valued at approximately 150,000 THB, had been stolen.

Thai Army: 2,500 Cambodian Troops Killed in Border Clashes

The Thai army reports that about 2,500 Cambodian soldiers have died in ongoing border clashes as they attempt to reclaim the Prasat Ta Khwai area in Panom Dongrak district, Surin, and the Pumakhua area in Kantharalak district, Sisaket. Maj. Gen. Wanchana Sawatdee shared this estimate during an interview on "Naewna Online". He noted reports from four different sources, but concerns about accuracy persist, with estimates ranging from 700 to 6,000.

Tense Standoff at Thai-Cambodian Border Defused Peacefully

A tense encounter erupted this afternoon at Chong-arnma market, Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani. Five Cambodian soldiers were caught cutting through Thai-installed concertina wire marking the border.
