Thaksin Shinawatra has generously donated a substantial 1 million baht to support and encourage the border police who are defending Thailand's land. This gesture comes after a recent clash along the Thai-Cambodian border, which left 11 border patrol officers injured.

On 3rd August 2025, Police Lieutenant General Surasit Sangkhaphong, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office and head of the 26th class of police cadets, announced the donation. He handed over the funds, along with Police General Vinai Thongsong, a distinguished member of the police association, to show care and bolster morale among the Border Patrol Police. The donation recognises their sacrifices for safeguarding the nation during tense encounters at the border.

In detail, Police Lieutenant General Surasit contributed 30,000 baht on behalf of the 26th police cadet class. Police General Vinai and representatives from the 43rd class added another 30,000 baht. Thaksin, in his capacity as an alumnus of the 26th class, generously supported with 1 million baht. The funds were received by Deputy Commissioner Police Major General Rungroj Thakulpunya and his team at the Border Patrol Police Command in Chachoengsao Province, where they manage border situations.

The delegation attended a briefing on the current border situation and the actions taken by the units stationed there during the handover. The donation is considered a symbol of unity and solidarity with those in the line of duty, offering both financial aid and moral support.

The recent clashes have highlighted the ongoing tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, necessitating a strong and prepared border patrol force. The support from celebrities like Thaksin and high-ranking police officials demonstrates the value of national security and stability.

This financial boost will aid in the recovery and preparedness of the border patrol officers, ensuring they remain equipped and motivated to handle future challenges. The focus on unity and recognition continues to be a vital aspect of maintaining effective border operations.

The generous contributions, particularly Thaksin's substantial donation, exemplify a commitment to protecting Thailand's sovereignty and supporting those who dedicate themselves to this cause. Such acts of support are crucial in fostering resilience among the nation's protectors.

Does that make it smaller?

Sure, we all know he does it for popularity, but that doesn´t make it less useful for the the people who receives it.

There is no one voting.

Best man standing.

Instead, can AN members get together and open a GoFundMe account?

I wonder if that's the largest donation this super creep, stingy billionaire has ever made in his lifetime? And one has to question the timing of the donation, now that he's become irrelevant, disrespected, disregarded, disposed of and despised.

Did I, or did I not?

And then he dispatched a bunch of randy Issan farm girls to earn it away from them.  The guys get laid, the poor farm folk get money, everybody happy.

Maybe he can deduct the generous donation from his taxes, if he pays any.
